The National EMS Information System's Technical Assistance Center has certified Emergency Reporting as NEMSIS Gold Compliant. This means the Emergency Reporting system meets the data gathering, reporting and security requirements established by the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS).

NEMSIS is the national repository that will be used to store EMS data from participating states (48 states and several U.S. territories have agreed to endorse and/or comply with the NEMSIS standard). "The NEMSIS project was developed to help states collect more standardized elements and eventually submit the data to a national EMS database," according to the NEMSIS Technical Assistance Center. NEMSIS also says the NEMSIS database will be useful in:

• Developing Nationwide EMS Training Curricula
• Evaluating Patient and EMS System Outcomes
• Facilitating Research Efforts
• Determining National Fee Schedules and Reimbursement Rates
• Addressing Resources for Disaster and Domestic Preparedness
• Providing Valuable Information on Other Issues or Areas of Need Related to EMS Care

The Emergency Reporting NEMSIS Gold Compliant system is a web-based system that safely collects, maintains, generate reports and exports to third party software solutions within one easy to use system.
